Quantity Surveyor - Assistant / Intermediate: Job Details
A Quantity Surveyor at either Assistant or Intermediate level is required to join the commercial team on a £5m residential scheme in Birmingham. Candidates should be degree-qualified and have experience of Design and Build contracting. The role will feature a strong focus on procurement and candidates must be able to detail package requirements to sub-contractors, analyse bids, negotiate with sub-contractors and provide detailed procurement reports to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, in addition to providing general commercial support to the Senior Surveyor. This is initially a temporary contract of three-months duration but could, depending on future workload, be extended or leas to a permanent appointment. Candidates should be available for an immediate start.
A relatively young company, this D&B contractor is nevertheless firmly established particularly in the residential rooms market and can boast a turnover in the region of £100m and a portfolio of projects around the UK. The company has a good deal of experience with both public and private sector clients and operates in sectors as diverse as retail, cutting edge sports facilities as well as residential apartments and student accommodation.
